Composite Software, Inc., the leading provider of data virtualization software, today announced that its fourth annual Customer Advisory Council (CAC) is scheduled for October 6-7, 2009, at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Philadelphia. The company says it is seeing a strong response to this invitation-only event. The number of attendees is expected to grow 30 percent over 2008 attendance levels.
Among this year’s scheduled highlights will be a panel discussion on data integration for SaaS and cloud computing; the presentation of the product roadmap for the company’s award-winning flagship product, Composite Information Server™; and customer attendee input and voting on future product features.
“Over the years, our customers have told us they greatly appreciate the opportunity to influence new features for future releases of Composite Information Server,” notes CAC organizer, Bob Reary, Composite’s director of customer value. “Our Active Cluster solution and version control are examples of how past CAC’s have contributed directly to product development.”
Another highlight of the user meeting will be customer use case presentations from industries such as financial services, pharmaceuticals, energy, federal/government agencies, and communications and media. One of the presenters is Philadelphia-based Composite customer, Comcast Corporation (Nasdaq: CMCSA, CMCSK).
“We’re pleased to host this year’s CAC in Philadelphia, where Comcast as well as a number of our customers in the pharmaceutical industry are based,” says Christian Nall, Composite’s executive vice president of sales. “Each year, the location of the CAC is home to one of our hottest customer industries. For our first two years, we met in New York City, the home base for many of our financial services customers. Last year, we met in Washington, D.C., at the heart of our federal agencies.”
In addition to the customer presentations and networking opportunities, the CAC will include product demonstrations by Composite experts, technical panel discussions, and one-on-one meetings for customers to ask questions specific to their use of Composite’s data virtualization software.
