PiCloud’s cloud-computing platform service to be intregrated to Enthought’s EPD Python programming language distribution

Enthought, Inc. and PiCloud, Inc. today announced a partnership that integrates PiCloud’s cloud-computing platform service into Enthought’s market-leading EPD Python programming language distribution.  This partnership lets customers using Enthought’s EPD seamlessly offload their scientific computation onto PiCloud’s high-performance cluster that automatically scales to meet their evolving computing needs.

“With this partnership, we’re bringing PiCloud’s leadership in high-performance cloud computing for Python to the thousands of users of our leading EPD product,” said Eric Jones, Enthought’s CEO.  “Our customers can now easily leverage the power and efficiency using clusters for robust computational needs without having to manage, maintain, or configure virtual servers.  We think this is a great offering for our customers and the Python community.”

“We are excited to be in partnership with Enthought to bring the benefits of cloud computing to the Python community,” said Ken Elkabany, CEO of PiCloud.  “Enthought is an ideal partner for us given its dedication to Python computing, its impressive client list in academia and commercial markets, and its global leadership in computationally intensive, scientific computing.”
